Director of Youth Ministry

A dynamic and energetic leader with a passion to guide the growing number of children and youth in our congregation as they develop an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.
Position Details
- Start Date June 1, 2022
- Part-time, $10,000 annual salary
- Schedule: ~ 10hours/week
- Every Sunday
- One other day a week (including staff meetings)
- Special events as needed
- Reports to Pastor
Duties and Responsibilities
- Visioning and implementing regular youth programs including:
- Overseeing and leading United Methodist Youth Fellowship program
- Exploring youth-aged Sunday School programming
- Planning and overseeing yearly confirmation class
- Overseeing and planning special youth events including but not limited to retreats, mission experiences, graduation Sundays, and other community events
- Aiding in the continued growth of youth and families in our congregation
- Additional responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- Loving Jesus
- Must pass a background check
- Experience with Youth Ministries
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Effective communicator
- Knowledge of UMC a plus
