We echo and adopt the statement by St. Mark UMC as fitting with our approach to the decisions made at the special session of the General Conference of the United Methodist Church in February 2019:
St. Paul United Methodist Church rejects the recent rulings of General Conference. Should the Traditionalist plan be upheld by the Judicial Council, we will not comply. We will resist it in all its parts. Should the Disaffiliation Petition be upheld by the Judicial Council, we will not acknowledge it nor seek to leave the denomination using its provisions. We will be true to who we are. We will not be moved.
